Oil exploration project costs Ksh2bn

The country is holding its collective breath, as a major oil exploration well has begun in earnest in Isiolo area in Northern Kenya. The 5 Kilometers deep well, which is the deepest well yet ever dug in Kenya, will cost 2 billion shillings to sink. However, the government remains cautiously optimistic about the prospects for oil in that well.
